During pregnancy, mommy to be should cut down or cut off caffeine intake. Luckily I'm not so into coffee. Kadang-kadang je minum.. Tu pun mocha frap Starbucks - my favourite! Hehe. But tea, yes I'm a tea lover. Boleh dikatakan almost everyday minum teh o panas or teh o ais.
Kenapa kena kurangkan caffeine intake? (Below 200mg per day) :
1) Caffeine boleh kurangkan calcium absorption across placenta.
2) Boleh sebabkan fetus kekurangan berat badan daripada yang sepatutnya - meningkatkan risiko masalah kesihatan pada baby ketika lahir and in the future.
3) High levels of caffeine could cause miscarriage.
For tea, still ada few things kena take note :
1) Tak semua teh boleh minum esp teh herba memang kena elak sebab ingredients teh tu mungkin panas and boleh bagi effect to our pregnancy.
2) Yang ni penting untuk kite memandangkan kite suka minum green tea. Green tea memang bagus as antioxidant tapi for mommy to be, nay!! Sebab green tea boleh halang effectiveness of folic acid, which penting untuk perkembangan awal baby - preventing neural tube defect.

Surprisingly, chocolate including milk chocolate also contain caffeine, but in low level. However, mommy to be still kena control chocolate intake sebab sikit-sikit, kang lama-lama boleh jadi bukit :p
